The Future of Flagler Cycling

We here at F.A.C.E. have been busy and have some great news for our members.  We have had separate meetings with members of the Palm Coast City Council, the Flagler County Commissioners, SORBA/IMBA, and the Director of the Florida Agricultural Museum.

We are very happy to announce that we are moving forward with becoming Florida’s second chapter of SORBA/IMBA.  We hope to have provisional status by August and formal chapter status by the end of the year.  There are significant benefits to becoming a SORBA/IMBA chapter which we will discuss at our next meeting.

The trail at Mala Compra is back on the radar and we are working with the County to obtain a Memorandum of Understanding for the property which will permit us to formally manage the trail.

The future trail at the Florida Agricultural Museum is also moving forward.  A large portion of the trail will be on land owned by other entities, so we are coordinating a meeting with the owner of the property, the county, the city, SORBA, and F.A.C.E. in order to obtain approval for the trail.  We are hoping the trail will be a long, fast-flowing trail for riders of all levels.

Introduction

You have seen us on the trial, on the road, and on the bike paths. We are local riders who have gathered together looking to help you have a better ride. We welcome all questions, concerns, or comments.

Life is like riding a bike.  To keep your balance you have to keep moving.
