Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day
What a great day and a great group of kids for the national Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day! Some of the kids and parents had never been on a dirt trails before and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. They had a safety inspection for their bikes, free helmets and fittings, did an obstacle course, ran a radar speed race, trail rides, a great lunch and was then presented a participation metal for completing everything.
I want to thank the volunteers and especially thank the DeLand Police Dept. and all their volunteer for the great work they did with the course, speed race, escort to trailhead and lunch! Also want to thank all the vendors that donated the goodies for the kids and to Specialized Bikes & Clif Bars for their nation wide sponsorship. Look for the next take a kid day to happen later this year.
Flagler Area Biking SORBA is super excited to announce their partnership with Sacred Rides, the "#1 Mountain Bike Tour Operator on Earth" as ranked by National Geographic Adventure magazine.
