FABS Helping Camp Boggy Creek
With the help of the Florida Bicycle Association and The Bicycle Doctor of Bunnell, we were able to donate these 6 Trek bikes to Camp Boggy Creek. This camp is for children with serious illnesses and their families to reach beyond their illness ...and discover joy, confidence and a new world of possibilities and is always free of charge. They were extremely gracious and very happy to get the bikes to be used in the camp and then gave us a terrific tour of their facility. It is just amazing what they do there! Go to www.boggycreek.org and see how you can help them too.
Florida's Off Road Bicycle Club of the Year Award
The Florida Bicycling Association selected our club as the "Off-Road Bicycle Club of the Year". They award this to organizations for efforts and achievements that help inspire and support people and communities to enjoy greater freedom and wellbeing through bicycling. This is such a great honor to receive this from an organization that covers the whole state of FL. Everybody who works and supports our club should be very proud since it took all of us to make this happen.
Thanks You All !!
We had a great day with the kids at Spruce Creek Mtb Trail this past Oct. 4th. Remember that this event happens ever first Saturday in October and hope to have this at more trails next year.
Flagler Area Biking SORBA is super excited to announce their new partnership with Sacred Rides, the "#1 Mountain Bike Tour Operator on Earth" as ranked by National Geographic Adventure magazine.
A Couple of Our Club Trails Featured
Our mission is to help create tri-county (St. Johns, Flagler, Volusia) area
trails, bike paths, bike lanes; ensure their future use; heighten cycling safety awareness; organize group rides; protect the habitat contained within the bike trails and bike paths; build relationships with landowners and land managers; and provide an informative website for local riders.
In 2012 we presented a check to the Flagler County Board of Commissioners that symbolized the volunteer hours saved at Mala Compra Green Way Trail in the County. We were able to save the county $13,248.00 in one year of the signing of our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
